Isaiah 12:1-6
1 And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
2 Behold, God [is] my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH [is] my strength and [my] song; he also is become my salvation.
3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
4 And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted.
5 Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this [is] known in all the earth.
6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great [is] the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee.
OBSERVATION QUESTIONS
1) "In that day" why will the people of God exalt the Lord? (v.1)
2) Why will the people of God trust in the Lord, according to this verse? (v.2)
3) What will the people draw from in their jubilence? (v.3)
4) What else will God's people say about the Lord "in that day"? (v.4)
5) What will God's people do "in that day" and why? (v.5-6)
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
6) How do you express your thanksgiving to the Lord?
7) What do you tell others about the Lord when you are rejoicing in Him?
8) How do you worship the Lord when He has blessed you unexpectedly?
PRINCIPLES
9) The Lord will not stay angry with His people forever.
10) The Lord is our Savior and Deliverer and He is worthy to be praised.
11) The redeemed of the Lord cannot be lukewarm about our Awesome God.

Matthew 5:21-26
21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
25 Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
26 Verily I say unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing.
OBSERVATION QUESTIONS
1) What was one of God's commandments to His people and why? (v.21)
2) According to Jesus, what is wrong and why? (v.22)
3) What did Jesus tell His disciples to do to escape condemnation for their sin? (v.23-24)
4) What did our Lord say would happen if we do not agree with those we have offended? (v.25-26)
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
5) What do you typically do when you have offended a brother, or sister, in Christ?
6) Have you ever refused to be reconciled with an offended brother, or sister, in the Lord? If so, describe what happened.
7) Have you ever asked forgiveness from an offended brother, or sister, in Christ? If so, describe how you felt.
PRINCIPLES
8) Unforgiveness is the bait of Satan because it leads to further condemnation.
9) Offense destroys relationship with God and man.
10) Seek peace with all people, at all costs, even if the offended person refuses to forgive you.
