Lam 3:52-58 KJV
52 Mine enemies chased me sore, like a bird, without cause. 53 They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and cast a stone upon me. 54 Waters flowed over mine head; [then] I said, I am cut off. 55 I called upon thy name, O LORD, out of the low dungeon. 56 Thou hast heard my voice: hide not thine ear at my breathing, at my cry. 57 Thou drewest near in the day [that] I called upon thee: thou saidst, Fear not. 58 O Lord, thou hast pleaded the causes of my soul; thou hast redeemed my life.

2) What else happened to the prophet and how did he feel about it? (v.54)
3) What did Jeremiah do about his predicament? (v.55)
4) What was the prophet's request of the Lord? (v.56b)
5) How did the Lord respond to Jeremiah? (v.56a, 57-58)
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
6) Have you ever felt cut-off from the Lord? If so, briefly describe one such time.
7) What did you do to draw nearer to the Lord?
LIFE LESSONS
8) At times, the Lord allows our enemies (fear, doubt, unbelief, etc.) to overwhelm us, so that we will be more desperate for His presence.
9) The Lord allows us to go through seasons of desperation to draw us closer to Himself and to reassure us that He is not far from us.
10) We draw nearer to God through prayer, worship and the study of His word.
